Kitchen & Bath Remodeling

Kitchen & Bath Remodeling

Kitchen and bathroom remodeling and repair work, from cabinetry to finish carpentry. We handle the carpenter's parts of the job.

A kitchen or bathroom remodel starts with a scope: what is coming out, what is going in, and how fast does it need to happen. Most of them need more than one trade. We do the carpentry side—the frame, the cabinetry, the trim, the details—and we flag the parts that need a plumber or an electrician so nothing sits half-done waiting for somebody else.

What we do in kitchens and baths

  • Cabinet installation and replacement on kitchen and bath vanities
  • Countertop support structure and finish carpentry
  • Trim and casing around windows, doorways, and openings
  • Vanity and cabinet hardware installation and repair
  • Flooring (non-tile) installation and repair
  • Door and hardware replacement and repair
  • Punch-list items after other trades have finished

Why kitchens and baths need a plan

A kitchen or bathroom that is half-done is the worst place to be stuck. The plumber needs the wall opened for rough-in, but the electrician needs the wall intact to run wire, and the carpenter is waiting for both of them. What breaks down is coordination and communication. We work from a list, we flag what is not ours on day one, and we build our work around what the other trades are doing.

How a kitchen or bath job flows

We get a scope. Cabinet, tile, new plumbing, new electrical—all of it touches what the other trades need, so we read the whole list first and tell you which parts are ours and which are theirs. We schedule in order: rough trades first, then carpentry and finish. We flag the items that need another trade while we're working, not on the week of the deadline. You get photographs as items close out, so you can see the progress without walking over while we're still working.

Where the other trades pick up

Tile of any kind is not ours. New plumbing lines, new electrical circuits, appliance installation beyond mounting, and HVAC work belong to the licensed trades. We do the carpentry and the parts that follow when rough trades are done.

The full service list shows what else we do and where we draw the line. Agents clearing a punch list before closing should see the closing punch lists page.

Why the big picture matters

Most kitchen and bathroom work needs more than one trade, and the coordination is what decides whether the job stays on track. Clay Bucy has built houses from the ground up, so he knows the order and what each trade needs from the ones before. That is what keeps everybody moving in the same direction.

Questions about kitchen and bath work

What kitchen and bath work do you do?

Remodeling and repair that fall inside carpentry: cabinet work, trim and casing, countertop support and finishing, hardware installation, and fixture replacement where it doesn't require new plumbing or electrical. We do not do tile of any kind, new rough plumbing, or new electrical circuits. If your job needs one of those, we'll tell you on the first call.

Can you handle a whole bathroom remodel?

The carpentry side, yes. That includes new cabinetry, trim, casing, flooring where it's not tile, and vanity installation on existing plumbing. Anything that needs a plumber, electrician, or tile specialist is outside our scope. We'll do the parts that are ours and flag the parts that aren't.

My kitchen cabinets are damaged. Will you replace them?

Yes. Cabinet installation and hardware work are in our wheelhouse. If the damage is cosmetic—a scratched door or a loose hinge—we repair it. If the cabinet body is compromised, we remove it and install new. Call (864) 529-9975 with a photo.

What's outside your scope for kitchens and bathrooms?

Tile, HVAC, new plumbing lines, new electrical circuits, and appliance installation beyond mounting. If your remodel touches any of those, we identify the part that's ours, do it, and leave the rest for the licensed trades. A multi-trade project gets coordinated with you, not left half-done.
