Small Plumbing Repairs

You've taken it as far as you can from outside the cabinet. The floor under the kitchen sink keeps going dark, there's been a towel down there for two weeks, and it's damp again by morning. That's usually when the phone call happens, somewhere between knowing there's water and knowing what's letting it out. Other calls are plainer. The disposal quit, or the faucet handle has gone loose in your hand.

Finding where the water starts
Water in a sink cabinet leaves a trail, and the trail tells you which side it came from. Drips that only show up while the tap is running point at the drain side, a trap joint or a slip nut backed off. Wet with the tap off is the supply side, either the line itself or the shutoff. And a pool at the back of the cabinet with every joint bone dry usually means the seal around the sink rim has let go and water is running down the outside of the bowl. Guessing between those three costs you a second visit.
Before anything comes apart
We dry everything out under there, run the tap, and watch. Once it's clear where the water starts we show you the spot before anything comes apart, then fix that one thing instead of replacing parts on spec. Water arriving from inside a wall, from under a slab, or off the main line is a licensed plumber's job.
Shutoff to trap, no further
No re-pipes, no water heaters, no main lines, no sewer work, and nothing inside a wall or under a slab. Our lane here starts at the shutoff and ends at the trap.

What a leak does to wood
This one is on the list because of what a leak does to wood. Give it a few months and the cabinet floor turns to mush, the toe kick swells, and the drywall behind the base goes soft. Putting that back is carpentry, which is what we do anyway. So the joint gets replaced and the damage gets repaired on the same visit, instead of two trades, two trips, and each of them saying it's the other one's problem.

Under-sink work and small fixture repairs. That covers traps and drain lines under a sink, supply lines, shutoff valves, faucet and garbage-disposal swaps, and leaks in that zone. We do not do re-pipes, water heaters, main lines, sewer work, or anything inside a wall or slab. Anything bigger than the cabinet under the sink belongs to a licensed plumber, so describe what you're seeing when you call.

Shut the water off at the valve under the sink first, then call (864) 529-9975 with the town you're in. We're a small shop, so same-day isn't guaranteed. If the leak doesn't stop with the shutoff closed, or the water is coming from a wall or the floor, that's a licensed plumber's call and not ours.
Why does the cabinet under my sink keep getting wet?
It's almost always the trap joint, the supply connection, or the seal around the sink rim, and each one leaves a different trail. Water that only shows up while the tap is running points at the drain side. A cabinet that's damp with the tap off points at a supply line. We find which, fix it, and show you what we found.
